On the 5th of May, 1970 (we now celebrate it as the Sahastrara Day), on the seashore in Nargol in Gujarat – India, Shri Mataji opened the Sahastrara of the world during a long deep Meditation. She acquired this great experience of Cosmic Consciousness. Knowing the importance of full enlightenment Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi recognized the need to help the entire humanity to get their “instantaneous Self- realization”, and awaken the primordial Kundalini energy lying dormant inside humans, this was depicted more than thousands of years ago in the “Markandeya Purana”.
This dormant Kundalini-energy has to rise through the spine (Para-sympathetic plexus) and clear all the chakras and rise up through the fontanel bone (Sahastrara) and get connected with the divine power to attain the thoughtless awareness. This process has a healing effect on your whole inner system.
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi than established SAHAJA YOGA and introduced the VISHWA NIRMALA DHARMA - the Purest Form of World Religion (which embraces all the Religions in the world). Since then Shri Mataji travelled around the world to spreading this wisdom and giving SELF-RELAIZATION to millions of seekers. Today there are over 100 countries in this world which follow this VISHWA NIRMALA DHARMA.
Apart from the spiritual importance, the healing effect is another by-product of Sahaja Yoga which is so very remarkable that it has cured thousands of people from diseases like cancer, asthma, psychosomatic diseases, migraine, diabetes, Hypertension, lever diseases, skin ailments and all other relevant diseases which were deemed to be terminal by renowned medical practioners.
